Laughed out loud when I read National Post entertainment columnist Shinan Govani’s description of the set for the 4-month-delayed Marilyn Denis Show as “a basement support group meeting of OxyContin addicts.” I only caught 10 minutes of a Jason Priestly interview – and it did look like they were sat in somebody’s basement. As for #’s in her first week, reps haven’t advised yet – but Shinan’s column describes viewership as “winning it’s timeslot…coming out on top as the most-watched regularly scheduled program in it’s time slot in seven years….and beat The View.” Now we know in media that there’s just too many permutations to say definitely that she was #1, and clearly MDS didn’t quite get there or lord knows CTV would’ve said, “#1″ loud enough for the whole world to hear.
